Today American manufacturer GM added another vehicle to the lineup of cars that have earned the safety recognition from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, after the 2011 Buick LaCrosse received the five-star overall safety rating following the crash tests the model was subjected to.
The five-star rating given to the model comes after the car managed to pass with flying colors the more stringent requirements set in place by the NHTSA for 2011. The LaCrosse received five stars in both the Overall Frontal Crash and Overall Side Crash.
“Car buyers today want the peace of mind that comes with buying a vehicle they know will help protect their family,” said Tony DiSalle, vice president of Buick marketing. “This five-star overall vehicle score for safety shows Buick can equip an affordable luxury midsize sedan with top safety features.”
