Brilliance BS6 Reveals its Face in China - Looks Exactly Like a C-Class Merc

When they first burst onto the international market, the Chinese automakers were criticized for the poor safety ratings their cars achieved, as well as their design, as most of the cars were copies of successful European, Japanese and American cars.
In recent years, most Chinese automakers have all-but shaken off that very negative image, by actually beginning to build cars of much better quality and design - still behind the established manufacturers, but getting there. However, it seems that they are still not able to completely give up the practice of copying other manufacturers’ designs.

The new Brilliance BS6, set to be launched in China in late 2013, has surfaced on the internet. The pictures show various panels, yet none are complete, and they may very well show early body mockups or clay models. Still, while there’s nothing much which can be said about the car’s side profile, the car’s front fascia needs closer inspection.

In fact, a close inspection would be too much, in this case, as the car bares more than a passing resemblance to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class (the post facelift model). The grille, the headlights and even the bumper are all exactly what you`d expect to see on the German saloon - there is a high likelihood Brilliance will be taken to court for this...
