Bridgestone are replacing their Battlax BT-023 tires with a new model, the Battlax T30, and for testing, they invited Valentino Rossi to their proving grounds in Nasushiobara-Shi, Japan.
9 times world champion, Rossi went on the testing track and rode a street bike: the Yamaha FZ1. Why the FZ1 and not racing beast, some might ask. Well, that's because the Bridgestone Battlax T30 are simply not race-specced: these are sport-touring tires, meant to shoe your casual bikes for daily riding or commuting.
So that's why you get too see Il Dottore in two-piece leathers and riding both fast and slow, on smooth and rough, dry and wet surfaces, and even more – starting off with cold tires. Because this is what we all do everyday, don't we?
