Brabham Back in Business, Shows Off Customized BMWs

Some people say that most BMW models share the same aggressive yet stylish look that has helped these cars become some of the most popular vehicles in the world. However, Brabham Racing (that's right, Brabham Racing is back in business) has a different opinion: “BMWs can look even more aggressive,” the UK-based company seem to say through its three customized BMW models prepared for the Essen Motor Show (for those of you who don't know, Essen Motor Show is an auto event held in Germany, often referred to as the German version of SEMA).

So, Brabham re-enters the automotive industry using three aftermarket BMWs. This sounds quite awesome, especially for Brabham fans, so let's see some details about this long-awaited “homecoming”.

Brabham Racing is a famous name especially in Formula One when it managed to win no less than four drivers' title and two constructors' championships. Brabham accounted notable drivers such as Damon and Graham Hill, Niki Lauda and Nelson Piquet. The company decided to retract from F1 in 1992 after experiencing financial difficulties.

Brabham Racing is back, the British company proudly announced in a press statement, unveiling three BMW models due to unveil at Essen Motor Show which runs between November 29th and December 6th. The BRABHAM BT 92 based on the BMW M3, the BRABHAM BT 60 based on the BMW M5 as well as the BT 70 - a sporty interpretation of the SUV X6 are the three models customized by Brahman, but no further details regarding these cars were provided.

“The engines' increased performance forced the constructors to develop technically independent high-performance braking systems. In addition to this, all carbon-fibre body parts used for the production of Brabham racing cars are cured in autoclaves - these quality characteristics are visible at the first and even at the second glance one gets of each new Brabham model,” Brahbam described the aftermarket models but avoiding to reveal too many technical details.
