Dubbed X6 Performance Unlimited, the vehicle has been fitted with goodies from BMW’s Performance and Individual divisions. The Japanese market-only special edition of the X6 is based on the X6 xDrive35i petrol version of the car, with only 20 units scheduled to be built.
The SAC is packed with a BMW Performance aerodynamic exterior package. This comes with an aggressive front bumper that uses a new type of grille, redesigned side skirts, a rear diffuser and blacked-out kidney grilles. The vehicle rides on unique 21 inch alloy rims that are wrapped in high performance tires. The car, which is dressed in a silver-pearl color belonging to the Individual program, also comes with dark tinted windows.
The vehicle’s passengers are treated with bespoke seats finished in leather, brushed aluminum trimming and an aluminum finish for the pedals. Each of the 20 units will come with a numbered plaque that shows its production number.
Unfortunately the engine is not so “Unlimited”, as it has received no attention at all. So under the hood, we find the SAC’s standard 3.0 liter turbocharged straight six, which comes with 306 hp and a maximum torque of 295 lb-ft (400 Nm), allowing the X6 to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.7 seconds.
The BMW X6 Performance Unlimited order books are now open, with the vehicle retailing for 9,450,000 Yen (approximately $108,500 or EUR 86,000).
