BMW USA has put a dollar sticker on the brand new 6-Series Gran Coupe, the first ever four-door version of the 6er for the mass market. For the price of $76,895, you can have the base 640i Gran Coupe, which is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six gasoline engine delivering 315hp at 5,800 to 6,000 rpm and 330 lb-ft of peak torque.
While that might seem reasonably priced for such a revolutionary car, it’s also over $3,000 more expensive than the 640 Coupe. What’s more, our favorite four-door coupe when it comes to looks, the CLS is available for just over $72,000 when fitted with the big V8 in the 550 version.
What’s more, the US market also has the all-mighty Chrysler 300C and its SRT8 lump of V8 muscle, and this comes nowhere near in terms of price.
