BMW Upgrades the 5 Series in Australia

The BMW 5 Series has already proved that it can offer a multitude of assets, receiving positive feedback from both the public and the media. However, this doesn’t mean that the automotive producer is resting on its laurels - BMW has been expanding the list of features offered by the car and now it is time for the changes to reach the Australian market.

“At the proving ground it immediately left the competition standing and is also right up front when it comes to public popularity. During its first year, the new BMW 5 Series got off to a perfect start and is continuing unabatedly with its success story in 2011,” stated the press release.

“Commanding victories in comparison tests carried out by well-known specialized media, best marks in the analyses performed by independent experts with regard to design, safety and value stability as well as an unparalleled flood of accolades in the latest reader surveys at home and abroad characterize the impressive start-up phase, which began with the market launch of the BMW 5 Series Sedan in March 2010.”

The company’s Australian arm announced that the 5 Series range will receive additional versions this spring, with the vehicles using the BMW xDrive four-wheel-drive system, as well as an eight-speed automatic gearbox that uses an Auto Start Stop function.

“The new BMW 5 Series was successful in setting the benchmark for safety on the Australian and Asian automotive markets. In the Australasian NCAP crash test, the BMW 5 Series Sedan obtained the best result ever achieved in this vehicle class,” stated the press release.
