Once again BMW sold more than they hoped for, registering a sales increase of 6.7 percent over the same month of 2012 and reaching an all-time high volume of 189,675 units sold.
The best news though is that growth was recorded in nearly all regions of the world, a thing that is hardly common these days, when the globe is still recovering and struggling with the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.

Over the first nine months of the year, the BMW Group sales grew by a combined 7.5 percent on a global scale, reaching 1,436,178 vehicles whilst in 2012 the sales added up to 1,335,502 units.

"We achieved record global deliveries for the month of September and the first nine months of the year. Despite initial signs of stabilization in the European automobile market, conditions in many countries remain challenging. However, we have been able to keep our European sales on a similar level year-on-year and once again reported major gains in the U.S. and Asia. We are therefore well on our way to another increase in deliveries for the full year 2013 and a new sales record,” said Ian Robertson, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, responsible for Sales and Marketing.

With the launch of new models, the sales are expected to grow even further for the reminder of the year, hopefully leading to another record-breaking performance.
