BMW M Performance Steering Wheel with Race Display

The latest and greatest BMW M Performance part has been unveiled, the M Performance Steering Wheel. It’s trimmed in Alcantara and has a flat bottom, but most importantly, it’s also got a small digital display at the top.
The display can provide gearshift timing information and also has three modes – EfficientDynamics, Sport and Race.

In EfficientDynamics mode, it displays the fuel consumption and a stopwatch/average speed/EfficientDynamics index.

The Sport mode shows lateral G as a number and a bar. Race mode offers lap times, combined with section mode and it even has a simulated quarter mile race, showing you total time and reaction time and max speed after the quarter mile. You can also select different straight-line races if you’re in the mood.

The M Performance steering wheel will be available through the 2012 catalog for models like the 1-Series 5-door and and 3-Series sedan.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
