Times are getting really hard for manufacturers selling their cars in China these days. South Korean companies, Hyundai and Kia are recalling a total of 181,492 cars for braking problems whilst German giant, BMW is calling back 75,832 5 Series.
For the Bavarians, the socket adapters for taillights seem to be the problem and not the braking system, as is the case with its South Korean rivals. Still though, it is a problem and it must be repaired, free of cost, of course.
According to the website of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (the NHTSA equivalent of China), out of the 75,832 units to be recalled, 88 are imported cars, so you might take that into consideration, in case you live in China and own a BMW F10 5 Series.
