If helmets with a strong retro vibe are your thing, then head over to Biltwell and feast your eyes on the Gringo line-up. Offered in sizes XS through XXL, these lids are now retailing for attractive prices under $150 (€110) and hail an era which is almost long gone.
However, with more and more cafe-racers and other classic two-wheelers rolling on the streets nowadays, it looks like we'll be seeing more 70's goodness for some time.

Biltwell's Gringo is a basic, minimalist full-faced helmet with a seamless injection-molded ABS shell and backed with an EPS liner covered in an open-cell foam and brushed Lycra for a comfortable wear.

There are no ventilation openings in the shell, so riders have to rely on the perforations in the Lycra comfort liner and the ventilation channels in the polyester panels. In warm areas riding with such a helmet may be painfully hot, but the Gringo is definitely great for a late autumn ride.

Biltwell Gringo comes as is, and snap-on bubble shields or flat flex screens are sold separately. Anyway, this means you can wear your steampunk goggles with it, which is also cool. The lids are DOT-approved and come in multiple cool colors.
