We're happy to let you know about the Big Bear Choppers' 2013 fleet. Since BBC is nothing short of sheer excellence when it comes to craftsmanship, quality and most of all – design, here's Athena, with no more ado.
If you are looking for serious chopper styling and zero-compromise performance, the Athena might just fit the bill. An innovative low-seat frame offers the classic raked-out extreme chopper style, while proving the comfort needed for longer rides. With a 21" front and 300mm rear wheels, the BBC Athena looks spectacular and optional rim designs can take things even further.
At the heart of the Athena bike you'll find a no-nonsense S&S V111 engine, available with traditional, carbureted breathing or in high-tech closed-loop EFI flavor. The power unit produces almost 116 HP and a massive 122.8 lb-ft of torque (166 Nm), so there's plenty for any kind of riding.
The Baker tranny is a 6-speed overdrive unit, with either belt or chain final drive. Hand-made bodywork and custom paint is of course, on the menu. The Big Bear Choppers Athena can be ordered as a complete unassembled kit for $37,420 (€29,185), or as a ready-to-ride beast: $45,600 (€35,565) and $49,000 (€38,215) for the carb and EFI versions, respectively. Base prices.
