Bentley Azure T: Highly Luxurios and Fast

The Bentley Azure T convertible follows the release of the Brooklands coupe, which also sports the iconic Flying “B” mascot and shares the same attention to details seen on the Brooklands. Highlighting some of the design features of the 1955 Park Ward S1 Drophead Coupe and the later 1995 Azure, the car exhibits a deep body look with a single line that runs on both sides through the back.

Powered by Bentley's 6,75 litre twin-turbocharged V8, which produces no less then 500 hp and 1000 Nm of torque, the car can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.2 seconds, while the top speed has been raised to 179 mph. Highly respectable performances considering this is a luxurious coupe that boasts a total weight 5,700 pounds and a length of 18 feet.

"The Azure chassis has always had an immense potential and this enables us to offer the extra power of our 500 hp V8 engine and the driver-focused qualities of a true Bentley T without compromising ride comfort." said Raul Pires, Manager of Exterior design for Bentley Motors.

It gets no worse with the handling, due to a fine tuned double-wishbone suspension at the rear, optional carbon/silicon carbide brakes, measuring 420 x 40 mm (front) and 356 x 28 mm (rear), the car looks to deliver impressive body control in all driving conditions. Bentley has also fine-tuned the Traction Control system in order to avoid any unnecessary torque reductions of the engine while the system is working.

Buyers of the Azure T will also benefit from the services of the Mulliner coachbuilding company, which can help buyers to create a bespoke convertible for their exact needs. Plus, many of the desirable Mulliner options are already available as standard. Luxury-wise, the interior will feature design enhancements such as diamond quilting to seats and door panels.
