Bailey Blade Roadster Details and Photos

All of you who got excited while reading the title of this peace should take a cold shower. The Bailey Blade Roadster concept is still not here in the flesh, but still in the form of renderings from Nick Bailey. Fortunately, we do have something to brag about: the specs of the "affordable sports car".

Although it's still not clear when the Blade will finally be here or for that matter for how much (estimated price is in between $50,000 and $80,000), Bailey says, at least as far as specs are concerned, they are standardized for both the US and Europe.

The body of the car has been designed to fit a number of different engines. Early prototypes will be boosted by a Roush 400IR stroked small block fuel injected engine, developing some 500 horsepower (the same one announced since 2007). The chassis of the Blade consists of tubular roll cage affixed to a solid ridged box steel frame. The roll cage is enhanced by the addition of two hoop roll bars to protect in case of roll over.

Below you can find the specs of the blade as they were provided by Bailey. We took a look and we must say, we anxiously await the real thing to finally get here.
