ABT Sportsline has recently played with the Audi S8 one more time, releasing the AS8 project, which promises to mix assets from the limousine and sports car worlds.
The S8’s engine was taken from its stock output of 520 hp and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) to 620 hp and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft), with the new figures allowing the luxury sedan to deal with the 0 to 62 mph sprint in 4 seconds flat, while the 0 to 124 mph (200 km/h) game is played in 13 seconds. As for the top speed, this is now electronically limited to 180 mph (290 km/h).
ABT also offers a Level Control kit, which works with the car’s air suspension to bring this closer to the road. In addition to that, the ABT AS9 offers custom alloy wheels, with customers being able to choose from sizes ranging between 19 and 21 inches.
