A new six-point grille and refreshed headlights might not sound all that impressive, but the 2013 model year RS5 is a handsome looking beast, and Australians are likely to buy more of them than ever before, because with the arrival of the facelift, prices have dropped by a significant margin there.
At AUD161,400, the RS5 facelift is still very expensive, but it’s still AUD13,900 cheaper than it was before the cosmetic changes were made.
On the performance side, things are unchanged, as the coupe still offers a 4.2-liter V8 engine with 331 kW (450 PS). The power is sent to all four wheels via a dual-clutch seven-speed S tronic box and quattro AWD system. This is enough to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill in 4.5 seconds and 200 km/h (124 mph) in 15.4 seconds.
