At the 12-hour race at Sebring, Florida, Audi Motorsport will rely on the power of the Le Mans winning Audi R18 TDI modified as the car has been modified for the season opening of the new FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
"Sebring is just around the corner; we’ve completed our preparations. It’ll be a grand and no doubt thrilling inaugural event of the new WEC. The entire fields of the WEC and the American Le Mans Series will be competing together. So, the field of entrants will be made up of more than 60 cars,” says Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich Head of Audi Motorsport.

Audi is actually hard at work on developing no less than three different versions of the R18 LMP1 race car, all of which will be fielded during the season. We are of course talking about the new Audi R18 e-tron quattro and Audi R18 ultra that are currently testing and will be ready by May.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
