If you've never seen a designer at work, this is a good place to start. Any car designer is able to sketch a vehicle in a matter of seconds, and if you give him a few minutes, he can even get into the details of it.
Don't be alarmed, we are very much aware the video below is sped up so it spans four times as much in real life, but trust us, they can sketch really fast. In the example you see below, the designer is probably taking his time since his drawing was going to be very important.

We've seen our fair share of sketched Audi e-Tron quattros and, to be honest, we're kind of curious about the real one now. With Tesla on the brink of publicly launching the Model X as well, the world of electric SUVs is about to explode and we couldn't be more... intrigued.

You see, apart from Tesla, nobody's managed to come up with a completely viable small electric vehicle, so excuse us if we feel this electric SUVs trend is the auto industry getting ahead of itself.

But it will continue to do that no matter what we think, and the Audi e-Tron quattro is the perfect example. We're still mostly walking in the dark here as there's very little official information available, but we do know a few things. For example, it will use three electric motors - two for the rear axle and one up front - while the battery pack will be assembled by Audi and will slot beneath the passenger cell.

Audi is aiming at improving the car's efficiency with what should become the best drag coefficient of the segment: 0.25 cd. The carmaker even came up with a name for this, but we respect them too much to share it. OK, it's "Aerosthetics".

Audi promises a maximum range close to that of a Tesla model, but it doesn't expand on how it plans to achieve that. However, it is certain it will be built on the versatile MLB platform, so at least that should ease up development a little.

No doubt about it, the Audi e-Tron quattro is among the more interesting models being shown at this year's Frankfurt show. It will give us a good impression on where Audi stands in terms of EVs and it could mark the beginning of an electric European war with the likes of Mercedes-Benz and BMW already at arms.
