We need to congratulate Aston Martin on what appears to be a job well done. Compared to the Mk 1 Vanquish, this new car looks positively modern and the awful automatic gearbox is gone, so it looks like they have a success story on their hands.
We’ve already shown you the car in the latest spyshots earlier today, and on the streets of Italy some days ago. But these photos were actually taken by Aston and are of the official kind.
The biggest piece of new information we have for you is that Vanquish offers a massive 565 hp (573 PS) from its 6.0-liter V12 engine. This will be coupled to a new six-speed "Touchtronic 2" automatic transmission with paddle shifters and a limited slip diff at the back.
The Vanquish will be able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 295km/h (183mph).
It will have carbon ceramic brakes as standard, so chances are it stops as well as it goes.
