With the “Baby SLS” on its way to be unveiled in about six months, Mercedes-Benz insiders are slowly trying to increase the hype surrounding the new sports car.
One of the biggest names to do so lately is Mercedes-Benz design chief Gorded Wagener, who told Autocar that the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT (C190) will have an exterior design with “more timeless classical lightness to it” than the Jaguar E-Type.
“You'd think it was hard to top the SLS, but I believe it [the AMG GT] is the most beautiful car we've ever designed.” Wagener said.
Now, if you ask us, the above statement might be either taken out of context by the not-exactly-professional Autocar journalists or Wagener has gotten a bit too cocky in recent times.
We don't doubt that the new AMG GT (C190) is an awesome-looking car, but there is quite a hefty amount of models in Mercedes-Benz history whose timeless beauty transcends over time. We will just have to wait and see.
