If you're talking BMW tuning you have to mention Alpina, the best BMW tuner of all time. Alpina cars are so good that you have to search really hard to find one for sale, even though it was built over 20 years ago like the B6 we're looking at today.
The B6 3.5 Alpina was based on the E30 M3, a car considered by many "the best driver's car ever build by BWM". Imagine that the B6 was even better. It combined the performance of an Alpina engine with the handling capabilities of an M3.
The engine was an improved version of the 3.5-liter 6-cylinder unit under the bonnet of E30 M3s. In the upgraded version, the power output reached 254 HP, 36 more than the stock version.
On the other hand we have the B3 3.2 Touring, another creation from out favorite tuner. This one was based on the standard BMW 328i and had 265 HP with 330 Nm (240lb-ft) of torque.
Those were quite remarkable cars and, no matter which one won, it's a pleasure to see two classic Alpinas in such mint condition, still going strong.
