The Alfa MiTo is not a perfect car, but so many years after its debut we still struggle to think of any model that looks sexier in its class. Many have tried and come close, but the Italians know how to make cute, small cars like nobody's business.
However, tell the Quadrifoglio Verde it's cute and it might bite you. That's because this car has a temper and a sting under the bonnet. For 2014, it still packs 170 hp from a 1.4-liter turbo similar to the ones you get from Abarth. Performance numbers are unchanged, with 0 to 100 km/h taking 7.3 seconds and the top speed standing at 219 km/h. That's slower than most of the other supermini hot hatches.
Thankfully, looks are still on the MiTo QV's as this year it becomes available with a new shade of paint. Called Magnession Gray, this shade is matte, following the custom car industry trend going on right now.
There's also a new finish for the mirror fairings, front grille, door handles, headlight frames and 17" alloy wheels with red brake calipers. Inside, there's "QV" logos everywhere and black leather with contrasting red stitching.
Together with the new Giulietta QV, this car will be on display at the Geneva Motor Show next week. The new Quadrifoglio Verde versions will be available on the market starting in May 2014.
