Adam Carolla Builds a Super Car Garage

Adam Carolla, the famous American radio/TV host, actor and comedian, decided it is time to build an appropriate place to host his impressive collection of cars, celebritycarsblog.com reported. Ace’s Super Car Garage, as he called it, seems like a gift he is making to himself, since his 45th anniversary is coming on May 27.

As an avid car enthusiast, Carolla has owned a BMW M3 E30-generation model, an E46-generation M3, Datsun 510, an Audi S4, Audi R8, Jaguar sports coupe, MINI Cooper S, Nissan 350Z, Aston Martin, Lamborghini 350GT, Ferrari and 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo.

The last one mentioned is actually the original Newman Sharp car driven by Paul Newman and Fitzy to an SCCA national championship in 1984. The car also scored its only Trans Am win in 1986 at Lime Rock by Paul Newman for Bob Sharp Racing. Its single-overhead-cam turbocharged V-6 develops 160 horsepower at 5200 rpm and and a maximum torque of 227 lb-ft at 3600 rpm.

Carolla achieved fame for several broadcast stints. He was the co-host of the radio show Loveline, from 1995 to 2005, co-creator and co-star of the television program The Man Show (1999–2004) and co-creator and performer on the television program Crank Yankers (2002–2007).

From January 2006 through February 2009, Carolla hosted The Adam Carolla Show, a weekday morning radio program broadcast from Los Angeles and syndicated by CBS Radio in eleven west-coast markets beginning January 6, 2006.

The last show aired Friday, February 20, 2009, when the company shifted the format of the flagship station, KLSX, away from hot talk, opting for the less expensive Contemporary hit radio format instead. Since February 2009, Adam moved his weekday talk show to a self-produced podcast format, now called The Adam Carolla Podcast.
