ACDelco Introduces Advantage Friction Brake Pads

In a world where last year's economic recession nearly brought the automotive industry to its knees, every advantage one company can have over another must be exploited to the maximum. That includes the world of braking system manufacturers, for whom every innovation is becoming a weapon in the financial war.

Sensing the need to have an entry level product in its portfolio, ACDelco, the company which prides itself with covering 80 percent of the current US car pool with its products, announced the introduction of the a new line of entry-level friction brake pads called Advantage.

The line of products, meant to be sent to dealerships complete with the installation hardware, is covered by a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty, among the highest in the industry. The line has been launched to complete the offering of Advantage products released this year, which includes rotors and drums.

The line includes non-asbestos organic, semi-metallic and ceramic brake pads, so that they may fit just about all vehicles.

“The marketplace has been demanding an entry-level friction product such as ACDelco Advantage, but we were determined it had to meet our very strict requirements for quality and safety, as well as live up to the high
expectations associated with the ACDelco brand name,
”said Kurt Pursche, ACDelco brake product specialist.

“Unlike many of our competitors, who do not brand their economy products, we are proud to put our name on the box and back it up with an excellent warranty.”

The price for the new line of products has not been announced.
