Brabus was busy as a bee in the months before this year's Frankfurt Motor Show. With no less than 11.920 hp spread around all the cars that the Bottrop people brought at the show, there was eye-candy for everyone at their stand.
The Brabus B63S-700, based on the Mercedes-Benz GL 63 AMG, for example, is one of those fabulous new projects from the German tuning specialists.
Some people may enjoy the model for its power, and they shouldn't be disappointed. With the 5.5-liter M157 engine from AMG tuned to develop a highly respectable 700 hp and a massive 960 Nm (708 lb ft) of torque, there's plenty of oomph to make the ginormous SUV reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a stand still in just 4.6 seconds.
Other people will probably like the car more for its exterior appearance, and the Brabus-modified GL 63 AMG delivers in this area as well. With each part of the exterior painted in black, the Widestar bodykit and the 23-inch matt-black Brabus Monoblock F rims, this GL looks like something that a dandy version of Max Rockatansky would drive in a Mad Max movie about fashion.
To us, it's all about the interior of this car though. The person filming - Gustav from m5boarddotcom – mentioned that the leather and carbon fiber inside cost a staggering 45.000 Euros, but to us it looks like it's worth every penny, especially since we visited Brabus' headquarters and saw how their craftsmen work.
