The folks that published this following video on Youtube claim the car you’re looking at here is a BMW E46 M3 GTR. Whilst it is a cool name to use, I find it hard to justify it.
The GTR version used a BMW P60B40 4-liter V8 engine that made around 500 HP. It was more of a prototype than a real production car, only 10 of them ever being built and sold (for around a quarter million euros). Since the rest of the car was basically the same, the engine is what defined the GTR, right?
Well, this drifting car apparently has a Toyota 2JZ-GTE engine that makes 700 HP. Now how is that exactly a GTR? Even if it originally was a rare bird who, in its right mind, would take out that legendary engine to use a much more common 2JZ unit?
Either way, getting over the whole GTR thing, the car is actually burning a lot of rubber in Greece at a King of Europe Drift ProSeries event. Incidentally, it looks like it also won 1st place.
