Are you as excited as we are about the Mercedes-Benz CLA facelift? We're not too sure about that, but now that you're here, let's see what this freshen up is all about.
First of all, there are these new images that show the car with a minimum amount of camouflage, even though the official sales debut is scheduled sometime during the second half of 2016. The fact Mercedes-Benz doesn't bother to hide the new car shows what we already suspected anyway: visual changes will be minimal.

That is plain to see when analyzing the new shots: with just the lower bumper wearing some black duct tape, we're expecting some revised air vents and fog lights, maybe, and not much else.

You you remember a few weeks ago, we had another batch of images in which the CLA also had tape covering most of its headlights. Those looked very much like the ones on the new C-Class, so Mercedes might actually be trolling with us here, testing a CLA without all the new features that are set to be borught to the car. Either that or that new design will only be available as an option for LED headlights, but we doubt that.

The CLA has already received all the technical updates brought forward by the A-Class facelift with the 2016 model year, so what's left for the facelifted version? Well, most likely some connectivity tweaks to make the car more appealing to young customers (its core target anyway) and some new and/or upgraded safety and driver-aid systems.

There's very little to be anxious about, then, yet that's not because the Mercedes-Benz CLA is a boring car, but because most of the technical goodies have already been implemented on the current model. And we all know what a big visual impact facelifts usually make, especially in the Mercedes-Benz world...
