The sixth generation of the Chevrolet Camaro has already proven to be one of the most popular incarnations of the iconic slab of America. Even in V6 trim, the Camaro remains impressive and we now want to bring you an aftermarket take on the six-pot Chevy.
The Camaro V6 has received not one, but two custom exhaust options from Magnaflow. The U.S. developer's scheme includes a Competition package, as well as a Race pack.
We've brought along two videos, with the first one highlighting the soundtrack of the Race goodie, while the latter allows us to check out the voice of the Competition hardware.
Both are built of stainles steel, with the systems using 2.5-inch tubing and polished tips. The main difference between the two is that the Race version packs a rear muffler delete and it's interesting to notice how much this influences both the tonality and the intensity of the 3.6-liter engine's soundtrack.
Here's the aftermarket developer explaining its meanest Camaro V6 piece of hardware: "The Race Series is recommended for those seeking maximum performance, reduced mass, and a loud aggressive racecar exhaust tone that demands attention,"
We're referring to the 1LE package. First of all, the track-destined factory effort was built following owner feedback. Secondly, the V6 1LE does well when throwing around on the circuit, as we discussed in September last year. For instance, the Chevrolet managed to beat the V8-animated Lexus GS-F around the Virginia International Raceway.

The V6 Camaro still makes full sense and here's why
If you're still not convinced the V6 incarnation of the Camaro still deserves its place in the lineup, we'll drop a reason for which the Chevy should follow Ford's example (the Blue Oval removed the V6 from the range with the 2018 Mustang mid-cycle revamp, remember?).We're referring to the 1LE package.
