Audi UK has just unveiled the new A8 Sport model, which targets the domestic market, combining bits from the S8 with more equipment to give customers what they want.
The fact that Audi can dress up a mule to look like a horse is not a secret. But this is largely done as a response to customer demand. After all, who doesn't want a hot-looking car that's very economical? The A8 Sport fits that description perfectly, as it combines the latest TDI clean diesel technology with attractive styling.

The new model belongs to the 2016 model year and can be optioned with a 3.0-liter V6 TDI that produces 262 PS or a 4.2-liter TDI pumping out 385 PS and 850 Nm (626 lb-ft) of torque. This last model can get to 100 km/h in only 4.7 seconds, which means it's comparable to the S5 in terms of acceleration.

However, having such a large diesel burner under the bonnet means fuel economy isn't all that impressive: 39.2 mpg UK (32.6 mpg US / 7.2L/100km).

As you can see, the A8 Sport borrows quite a lot from the S8. This includes the sharper grille design. The side skirts are from the S-line body kit, while Matrix LED headlights are being offered as standard.

This new version of the A8 has Valcona leather upholstery, HDD satellite navigation, and a 600-watt Bose audio system, all fitted as standard. SE Executive versions add features such as the Audi parking system with reversing camera, the advanced key for convenient locking, unlocking and starting without direct key intervention and powered, hands-free boot lid operation.
