Nicknames catch on. This is their thing and the "baby S-Class" nick was glued onto the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class even before the car got on the road. OK, so the new compact executive proposal looks like a miniature S-Class inside and out, but does it drive like one?
This was one of the questions we answered in our 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class review. We'll use a compressed approach here and tell you the answer is "no". Nevertheless, we're glad things are so.
You see, we've always respected the S-Class' aura, but its character never really got to us and it all has to do with the "lonely at the top" feeling we get when we're inside one. This doesn't happen with Bentleys, for example, so there's simply something about the S-Class that doesn't ring our bell.
We won't go through all the details now, but we can mention this asset makes the W205 C-Class, as friends call it, feel at home inside the city.
Then there's the 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic. Be it in standard or Plus guise, MB simply needs to leave this one behind, so that the thing can go in glory.

Out on the open road though, the C-Class will impress through its serene driving experience.
