Muscle car stalking seems to be America's favorite sport these days. While professionals bring us nice shots of the 2016 Shelby GT500, amateurs are out there hunting its arch-rival, the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. After we've seen this badass feline rev its supercharged V8 at 14,000 feet, it is now time to watch it during a night time testing session.
Enthusiasts are hunting the Hellcat out much like it happens out there in the jungle - a pair of 2015 Challenger SRTs was spotted while they were feeding themselves at a gas station in Clinton township.

Both were wearing Michigan plates, with the Hellcat being accompanied by a 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392. As for the hunter, he's a Chrysler guy, driving a 2012 200S.

Speaking of Chrysler, the company appears to have appointed the Hellcat's growl as a spokesperson. The engineers still won't tell us how much over 600 horses the new 6.2-liter Hemi V8 will take its driver, but its soundtrack speaks for itself, as you'll notice in the adjacent video. The active exhaust, the supercharger whine, they all add up to give us Goosebumps.

The test car here appears to be fitted with the all-new TorqueFlite eight-speed paddle-shift automatic, one of the goodies the 2015 model year has brought for the entire Challenger range. However, we'd like to remind you that three-pedal lovers can also get the Challenger SRT Hellcat with a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual gearbox.

The manual is related to what the bad boys with Vipers drive, but comes with a clutch upgrade, as well as with improved cooling to withstand the extra torque of the blown motor. How much torque? You guessed it, Chrysler won't tell us yet, so perhaps the "play" button below helps with the waiting game.
