The Toyota Avalon was never intended to be sporty, especially the hybrid version. It’s hybrid system still pushes 200 hp to the front wheels, but the rest of it was made for comfort.
However, the engineers thought about those who need a bit of sportiness into their lives and fitted the large sedan with a sport mode button. But is that really working?

The guys over from The Fast Lane Car decided to give it a shot and took the Avalon Hybrid in the middle of nowhere to do some 0 to sixty tests.

In normal mode, the sedan does the 0 to 60 mph in 9.24, which is a respectable time for a luxury saloon. Check the video bellow and see how it does with the sport mode activated.
