Yamaha's cruiser division, Star Motorcycles are showing scarce photos of the new 2014 Raider S, and until more high-res pictures emerge, that's all we can show to you.
The 2014 Star Raider S is the "chrome-burdened" version of base Raider, sporting the same classic attire but with more lush details and accents, designed especially for those riders who want to ride and industry- and community-approved chopper loaded with a heap of top-drawer, modern technology.
The new Raider S gets chrome triple clamps. Fork sliders, airbox cover, engine covers, headlight, risers and many more accents, for a shiny, head-turning attire. If chrome is the name of the game, then the 2014 Star Raider S is one of the niftiest choices out there.
On the tech side, the 2014 Star Raider S shares the might of the other 113cui machines in the family: 1854cc of pure v-twin menace, fed by a top-notch 12-hole injector EFI system, a beefy 2-into-1 Exhaust Ultimate Power valve (EXUP) silencer, all mated to a 5-speed gearbox and belt transmission.
The all-cast aluminium double cradle frame and controlled-fill cast swingarm help the 2014 Star Raider S lose some weight and reach 730 lbs (330 kg). The 2014 Raider S will be available from July for $15,790 (€11,800).
