Scion has announced pricing information for the 2014 model years FR-S. Now priced from $24,600 (not including the $755 destination fee), the sportscar is $80 expensive than last year’s model.
However, the slight price increase comes with a few new features, such as knee pads on both the transmission tunnel and the door panels around the speaker grilles plus a new 6.1-inch touchscreen audio system as standard, the latter available across Scion’s entire 2014 lineup.
The 2014 Scion FR-S will be powered by the same 2.0-liter Boxer engine that delivers 200 horsepower. Same goes for the 2014 Subaru BRZ, which can be had from $25,595 in the United State, almost $1,000 more expensive (but better equipped) than its Scion twin.
In related news, the Toyota GT 86 / Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ could get a power boost in the future, with the Japanese pondering an engine displacement increase to 2.5-liters for a final output of around 255 HP.
