After yesterday's downpour with upcoming Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205 and V-Class W447 official interior photos we were left with a bit of mixed information, from either official or semi-official sources.
Apart from the aforementioned intel, we also noticed a peculiarity. When asking ourselves where the shift knob for the manual gearbox option in the new C-Class will sit, seeing that the new touch-pad controller is so ahead on the center tunnel, we remembered checking out a photo of a pre-production C-Class prototype's interior with a manual transmission.
We've put the two almost similarly-angled photographs together and you can see for yourself that the manual transmission version will have a different center console than the automatic version in order to make room for the gear shifter on the center tunnel. Keep in mind that the interior pictured in the spyshot is camouflaged, but its overall angle and lower part are obviously different than the ones on the official photo (you'll have to click the image for the higher resolution).
We suspect that the C 63 AMG version will not have a similar layout with the automatic version, since AMG usually puts the gear shifter on the center tunnel, the only current exception being the S 63 AMG W222.
