Each year, Euro NCAP identifies the models that have achieved the highest scores in their tests and now the car safety assessment company released its seven finalists.
And the 2014 Lexus IS 300h got the top spot in the Large Family category with its 91% score for adult occupants, 85% for children, 80% for pedestrians and 66% for its safety assists.
After the frontal test impact, the passenger compartment of the IS 300h remained stable, with dummy readings indicating good protection of the knees and femurs of both the front and rear seat occupants. The car also scored maximum points in the side barrier test and even in the severe side pole test, the vehicle offered an adequate protection of the chest and other body regions.
