The Toyota Avalon grew both in proportions and in character, coming with new looks, luxury interior and a hybrid powertrain in 2013.
The 2013 Avalon Hybrid is powered by a 2.5-liter gasoline engine connected to an eCVT sending power to the front wheels only. The setup achieves 40 mpg in the city and 39 on the highway.

Autoblog tested the 2013 Avalon Hybrid XLE recently and found that the changes are going far beyond the sleek exterior and fuel-efficient powertrain, as it is better to drive than the outgoing model.
