If there was ever a stand-out car at the 2012 New York Auto Show, it had to be the 2013 SRT Viper. With headline-grabbers like a 640 horsepower engine, the first ESP system in a Viper and leather seats built by Ferrari part suppliers.
The decade of the car guy is apparently upon us, apparently, and the new SRT Viper was announced to have not one but two flavours, standard and GTS, one cooler and more expensive than the other.
Jay Leno was among the very first people to take a look at the car when it had just been launched. Now, not one but two new Vipers were under his roof, ready to show what they've got on the track and on the road (the one shown in June wasn't road-legal).
What's really interesting about this video is the fact that SRT boss Ralph Gilles actually drove the car all the way from Florida to Jay's garage in California to have it featured. Gilles says that for him and his team, the fact that the car now has cruise control was a godsend on the long journey.
