Tuners have taken to the new Mercedes SL like sharks to chummy water, and now Lorinser has popped out of the blue with a project targeting the 2013 SL500 with body customization and a boost to the 4.7-liter V8.
Let’s start by telling you that the twin-turbo lump under the bonnet no longer makes 435 horsepower, as it’s been boosted to 530 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm). Because the tuners have been able to remove the Mercedes limiter, it can now reach 174 mph (280 km/h).
In the cosmetic department, we have a set of 20-inch RSK8 alloys wrapped in performance tires, as well as a cool body kit comprising of wider front and rear bumpers, a trunk spoiler, side skirts, diffuser tail and of course sports exhaust.
