Tuners have taken to the new Mercedes SL like sharks to chummy water, and now Lorinser has popped out of the blue with a project targeting the 2013 SL500 with body customization and a boost to the 4.7-liter V8.
Let’s start by telling you that the twin-turbo lump under the bonnet no longer makes 435 horsepower, as it’s been boosted to 530 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm). Because the tuners have been able to remove the Mercedes limiter, it can now reach 174 mph (280 km/h).

In the cosmetic department, we have a set of 20-inch RSK8 alloys wrapped in performance tires, as well as a cool body kit comprising of wider front and rear bumpers, a trunk spoiler, side skirts, diffuser tail and of course sports exhaust.

The car made its debut at the Essen Motor Show, and we have a tasty photo gallery below for you to enjoy.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
