We’ve recently given you a set of spy photos
of the F31 Touring version of the BMW 3-Series and now it’s time to get back on the subject, as a series of patent drawings of the vehicles have leaked onto the web.
BMW plans to add some extra practicality to the station wagon version of the new 3er, and thus the car will come with features such as a boot cover that retracts and lowers with the boot lid, a separate-opening rear glass, as well as a 0/20/40 flat-folding rear seat.
The patent drawings reveal a series of design elements of the rear area and, if we uses our imagination to mix these with photos of the 3-Series sedan
and the aforementioned spyshots, we should get a pretty good idea of how the family-destined 3-Series will look like.
The F31 BMW 3-Series Touring is expected to be released later this year, with the vehicle also set to arrive on the US market.
