America’s favorite sports truck just got better, the 2012 Tacoma TRD T|X Baja, which was shown last September at the 2012 Texas State Fair is finally here.
The truck has received a serious makeover from the TRD division and can be yours for as little as $32,990 for the V6 Access Cab, not including an $810 (*) processing and handling fee.
You can also have it in combination with a Double Cab, with either a manual or automatic transmission. Either way, the Baja Series packages is a $5,015 option but Toyota offers a $650 Factory Credit, which brings the total to $4,365.
The T|X Baja comes with lectronically controlled locking rear differential, Active Traction Control (A-TRAC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) and Downhill Assist Control (DAC), BF Goodrich T/A KO tires (LT265/70R16) an aggressive TRD Cat-back Exhaust.
The front suspension has also been lifted 1.5-inches, giving an extra inch of off-road travel provided by TRD coil springs and 60-millimeter Bilstein race shocks.
“The Tacoma has long been the sales leader by a wide margin in the compact pickup segment thanks to its well-earned reputation for stellar quality, durability, reliability and off-road capability,” said Bob Carter, group vice president and general manager, Toyota Division. “The limited edition TRD T|X Baja Series adds another chapter to Toyota’s truck legacy by offering a new level of capability for off-road enthusiasts.”
