2011 Toyota Corolla and Matrix Facelift Pricing Announced

The North American division of Toyota has announced the retail prices for the US market facelift Corolla and the 2011 Matrix sedan. The Corolla receives some minor exterior changes and interior features offered in three trim levels, Corolla, LE and S.

On the outside, the facelifted Corolla sports newly redesigned front grille, new bumpers and redesigned wheels, together with a few other chrome accents. The car is now available with an upgraded heater, as part of an all-weather package equipped as a standard feature.

Metallic trim, heated mirrors, cruise control, remote keyless entry, better stereo and variable intermittent windshield wipers have been fitted to all LE trim levels while the top of the range S comes with extra 16-inch alloys and a color-keyed rear deck spoiler. (that doesn’t sound so impressive, does it?)

2011 Corollas come with a comprehensive safety package as standard for all trim levels, consisting of Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and Smart Stop Technology brake override system.

The model will hit showroom floors in January 2011, while the Matrix, about which no information has been released yet, will arrive a bit later in the spring of next year.

The base model Corolla cost either $15,600 (€11,628)with a manual or $16,400 (€12,225) with an automatic transmission. In LE trim it can only be fitted with an automatic, costing from $17,300 (€12,896), while in top spec S Grade the car costs from $17,470 (€13,007) for a manual or $18,300 (€13,641) with an automatic.

For the 2011 Matrix, customers can expect to pay from $18,545 (€13,824) for the base model with a manual to $21,415 (€15,963) for a top of the line S Grade, equipped with a 4-speed automatic and 4x4 drivetrain.
