2011 Kawasaki Z1000 Eerie Urban Legend Ad

Completely revamped for 2010, the Kawasaki Z1000 represented the embodiment of what is often described as a “happy motorcycle,” swapping the media off their feet and becoming the dream of any maxi-naked bike fan.

Now that Kawasaki launched the first official video ad for the 2011 model, we were expecting to see some ‘happiness’ added to it, reflecting the purpose of this coveted machine. What we got instead was some chills up our spine, that you will likely experience as soon as you watch it below.

Not only they used a little girl as an eerie voiceover, but the images also match the concept behind this ad campaign. However, once the Z1000 begins its after dark escapade, you might also discover your own dark side and want to disturb the peace one you get on the saddle.

Anyway, it might be different, but this ad has certainly answered the purpose for which it was created: boosting the interest on the Z1000. Just so you know before running to your local dealership, pricing for the 2011 Kawasaki Z1000 rests at $13,199.

The Streetfighter style machine boasts a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke in-line four 1043 cc engine, that delivers more power and more torque, namely 138 hp at 9,600 rpm and 110 Nm at 7,800 rpm. Other features include an adjustable windscreen, ABS, a lightweight aluminum frame, a fully adjustable inverted front fork and a new LCD instrument panel, visible through an orange lens, which can be tilted for better viewing angles.

The 2011 Kawasaki Z1000 also comes with radial-mounted 4-piston front brake calipers with 300mm discs for superior stopping power and a four-muffler exhaust system comes with wide triangular cans on both sides.
