2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe R-Spec Pricing Announced

The North American division of Hyundai announced today pricing for the 2011 Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec, scheduled to arrive at nationwide dealerships this fall. Getting straight to the point, the R-Spec is priced at $26,750, which makes it cheaper than the 3.8 Track model, from which it takes the core performance equipment, by $4,000.

This also makes the R-Spec the most affordable 3.8-liter V6 model in the Genesis Coupe lineup. R-Spec performance features include track-tuned suspension, 19-inch gunmetal-finish alloy wheels with performance summer tires, Brembo braking system, Torsen limited-slip differential and R-Spec badging.

To achieve the $4,000 savings R-Spec 3.8 eliminates metalgrain accents, automatic headlights, cruise control and chrome interior accents. Customers will not find a sunroof or rear spoiler on an R-Spec, which will in change receive a set of front strut camber adjustment bolts (dealer installation required) to further enhance initial turn-in and handling response.

According to Hyundai, the 3.8 R-Spec will be available in four exterior colors most common among international racing teams:  Karussell White, Bathurst Black, Interlagos Yellow and Tsukuba Red. R-Spec comes with manual transmission only.

The Genesis Coupe lineup has also been simplified to six well-differentiated models. R-Spec aside, the 2.0T (210 hp) is priced at $22,250, the 2.0T R-Spec is priced at $24,500, the 2.0T Premium starts at $26,750, the 3.8 Grand Touring is priced at $29,750, while the 3.8 Track starts at $30,750.

All the models in the 2011 Genesis Coupe range get an interior that offers new trimming, using a matte-finish and dark metal-grain accents for multiple elements, as well as new leather for the steering wheel and a Chrome finish for certain elements.
