The already over crowded hybrid vehicles segment of the automotive industry is a mess. Not because the cars don't work, or they promise something they can't deliver, but because buyers currently have no actual way of comparing the hybrids before deciding to buy one make or another.
To help them, American Internet conglomerate Hybrid Kingdom decided to release, for the second consecutive year, the Hybrid Car Buyers Guide, a compilation of the existing hybrids and their features.
"There are an overwhelming number of websites offering advice about eco-friendly cars," said Jeff Carey, Hybrid Kingdom director of marketing. "Customers were asking us for an easier way to compare all the hybrid makes and models in one place. Our editors brought it all together and developed a resource that people can read online, download or print."
The guide comprises 27 hybrid vehicles, described in detail with executive review, photos, EPA gas mileage estimates and pricing options. The guide can be purchased online by accessing the following link.
For what it's worth, the Hybrid Kingdom guide to hybrids is perhaps the single way currently available for customers to make an informed decision when buying a hybrid. With more and more car makers announcing the launch of newer hybrid and electric models, it's good to know that you have the possibility to choose, in roughly the same price range, a model other than the Prius.
By next year, more and more such guides will make their way into the open, providing an even more detailed look at the hybrid and electric vehicles available.
