2011 Honda CBR250R Gets UK Price Tag

Joining the smaller CBR125R in Honda’s new-for-2011 motorcycles is the all-new CBR250R model, which has also received a price tag for the UK market. Specifically, the bike will be priced at £3,688 OTR (including first registration fee and road tax totalling £88) when it will arrive at Honda dealerships in late March.

Also, interested buyers will have the choice of two color schemes for 2011, namely Asteroid Black Metallic and Pearl Blue Tricolour.

“Busy roads, increasing fuel prices and the way we feel towards the environment all help make small-capacity motorcycles more relevant than ever. So there’s never been a better time to introduce the new 2011 CBR250,” a company statement reads.

“It unites the inherent virtues of a 250cc machine with the timeless CBR qualities of high performance, intuitive handling dynamics and unrivalled ease of use,” Honda further adds. “The result is a stylish looking machine that’s versatile and able to take on any task while delivering an exciting ride, every time you get on it.”

Presented to the general public for the first time at the 2010 EICMA show in Milan last November, the new CBR250R is powered by an all-new 249 cc four-stroke, four-valve single cylinder DOHC engine that uses liquid cooling and is mated to a six speed transmission.

The unit features the company’s Programmed Fuel Injection System (PGM-FI), an oxygen sensor, as well as a catalyzer, in order to meet Euro III emission standards.

The company has also fitted the model with Combined ABS, a class-first, a system that includes a Combined Brake System (CBS) and an Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS).
