“We have very experienced assemblers at Lansing Grand River,” said Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant Manager Scott Whybrew. “They work hard to make sure each vehicle meets the levels of quality and craftsmanship expected in a Cadillac. We want customers to feel as much pride in owning a Cadillac as we do in building them.”
The new CTS Coupe, which can be yours starting from $38,990, joins the CTS Sport Sedan and CTS Sport Wagon. The “two-doored” member of the range has a lower roof line, a shorter overall length (it offers the same wheelbase) and wider track, offering a more aggressive stance and athletic profile.
“It’s nice to add a product that gives consumers another choice, especially one such as the Coupe that’s been getting such rave reviews,” said Mike Green, president of UAW Local 652. “The Lansing Grand River team members deserve a great deal of credit for making the Coupe a reality.”
The CTS Coupe’s standard powerplant is a 3.6 liter V6 engine that uses direct injection to deliver 304 hp. The powerplant can send its power to the rear wheels or to all four wheels using a six speed automatic transmission or a six speed manual gearbox. The CTS can also be ordered with a 6.2 liter supercharged V8 (the V-Series version of the car) that offers 564 hp.
