2011 BMW X5 Video Released

After over the weekend bmGerman carmaker BMW released full details and photos of the facelifted version of the X5, a video showing the X5 in action has now also been made available.

The 2011 X5 comes with an entirely revised range of engines, design modifications and tweaked driver assistance systems. All the models of the new line come with EfficientDynamics and eight-speed automatic transmission as standard.

Engine wise, the SUV will be equipped with four engine choices: BMW X5 xDrive50i, BMW X5 xDrive35i, X5 xDrive40d and X5 xDrive30d. The top of the line unit is now the X5 xDrive50i, powered by a 4.4l TwinPower Turbo V8, developing 407 bhp at 5,500 – 6,400 rpm and 600 Nm at 1,750 – 4,500 rpm. It accelerates from naught to sixty in 5.5 seconds and can reach a top speed of 250 km/h.

On the outside, BMW revised the color choice, which now includes Deep Sea Blue, Platinum Grey and Sparkling Bronze. The car received corona rings headlights (the so called angel eyes) with full LEDs, while the rear taillights received a L-shaped LED design.

The interior of the X5 adds optional leather trim Nevada in Cinnamon Brown and Oyster, as well as a matt Satin Silver trim strip. The new BMW X5 is equipped as standard with iDrive control system with 6.5-inch control display (or 8.8-inch display when ordered in conjunction with the navigation system Professional).

Prices for the revised SUV will range in between $46,675 for the X5 xDrive35i and $59,275 for the X5 xDrive50i.
