As promised ever since earlier this week, the new performance division of Infiniti, the Infiniti Performance Line (IPL) has arrived on the premises of the 2010 Paris Auto Show with its first two models, the IPL G Coupe and Convertible.

The two models are based on the G37 model, tweaked by IPL to offer a little extra in terms of both performances and aesthetics. The car, featured in our photos below in convertible guise, is powered by a 3.7l V6 engine tweaked into developing 348 horsepower (an increase of 18 horsepower over the G37 Coupe) and 375 Nm of torque. The addition of tweaked suspension, steering and exhaust systems have also contributed to a better feel of the car and enhanced performances.

The exterior has been enhanced with specially created front and rear bumpers, fascia with integrated fog lights and black finishers, sculpted side sills, rear spoiler and chrome exhaust tips. The body of the car will be offered to customers in two colors, Graphite Shadow and Malbec Black.

The interior comes wrapped in red-stitched leather (on the front sport seats and steering wheel), Silk Obi aluminum trim and aluminum pedals and footrest. Two colors, Graphite and Monaco Red, are being offered.

The IPL G is equipped with Bose premium audio system, Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System, 9.3GB Music Box Hard Drive, Infiniti Voice Recognition for audio navigation, memory system for driver's seat, RearView Monitor, Rear Sonar and moonroof.

Earlier this week, Infiniti announced the pricing of the model on the US market. Two trims of the model will be available in the States, the IPL G Coupe and IPL G Coupe 6MT. The former is priced at $49,850, while the latter wears a price tag of $47,950.
