2010 Ladies German Open Sponsored by Audi

For the third time, Audi will be the Presenting Sponsor and vehicle partner of the Unicredit Ladies German Open, scheduled to be held on the outskirts of Munich between May 13-16, 2010. The Ladies European Tour (LET) will be attended by 126 players who will compete for points in the standings and 330,000 euros of prize money.

The German carmaker also provides a special incentive to the winner of the tournament, who will receive an Audi A5 Cabriolet. Moreover, the golfer who achieves a hole-in-one at the 15th hole will this year be rewarded with an Audi R8 Spyder.

“Through the first two editions of the tournament the Ladies German Open has already achieved an excellent reputation in the world of golf and, in addition, has proved to be an absolute crowd-puller with impressive spectator turnouts,”
Peter Schwarzenbauer, Member of the Management Board for Marketing and Sales of AUDI AG, said in a release.

“We’re already looking forward to the new edition of the tournament marked by the Four Rings with thrilling sport, emotions galore and fascinating techniques displayed by the world’s best female players.”

In terms of sponsorship, 25 Audi shuttle vehicles will take players, officials and VIP guests to the golf court. Moreover, ten selected players will make use of Audi A3 Cabriolets during the week of the tournament. The carmaker will present some highlights from the current model range at the Audi Terminal, where it will also display articles from the Audi Golf collection.
